Engine cutting out!

I couldn't find anything like this when I searched, so I'ma going to assume that it's not too common.

I'm having a problem with then engine beginning to cut out over extended trips. It seem extremely similar to it dropping a cylinder. But it's not all the time, it usually only after I've driven it about 20-30 miles, and cruising on the highway, or a steady speed where the rpms rest around 3k+. When the problem occurs, you can pull off the gas, and then give it gas again, then it usually goes away momentarily, but longer you drive it, more it'll do it.
I can figure out with the problem is!
Change fuel pumps, coils, MAF, new injectors, even a different ECU. I'm running out of ideas! Any one have any ideas or suggestions for me?

did this recently start happening? Any upgrades/tunes before? Since it happens only after 20 - 30 miles on the hwy, and the longer you drive the more it happens, it would almost seem that a big issue is rearing its head as temps continue (expansion issue of some sort?). Pressure check might be in order or a good diagnostic by a shop you trust? Good luck with this.

Could be your Camshaft Sensor going out. My Eclipse use to do the same thing.

Sounds to me like it is a p0300 code search for disable p0300 test in the ecuflash forum. I had a similar problem and this fixed it for me and many others.

lol Yeah, the spark plugs were checked, they were fine, but changed anyway.
Even checked the gap.

I'ma going to do a little more checking it out to day, it's nothing really new, it's just progressively getting worse. There's no codes, even my local Mitsu dealer did want to promise a quick find without tearing everything apart. Even compression tests are coming back fine. However I am going to check on the sensor today, and do a little data logging to attempt to find any obvious signs.

Will post any new findings when I get back.

And nothing new...
The whole time I was logging, then I quit and was leaving, it did it the whole way home.
Seriously...

i think that sensor is going bad. Camshaft sensor. i woulf have to stop at rest stations to let my car cool before it would crank and run again. i never got a CEL light with my 2g either. i think the sensor is like $70. but if all else fails change that.

But it's not so much that it would run or crank, it's just like it's misfiring without pulling any codes.
And some times it's worse than others, sometimes it'll be just fine, other days, it's just obnoxious...

Also, it's usually completely fine under full throttle.
