So I just bought some RC 1000cc injectors because I am going to run E85 in my car. I will have an FP red, cams, intake, mani, TBE pretty much the basics I also have a walbro 255 pumps I will be runing. I plan on running about 30 psi. I have 1 week to exchange them if need be should I keep the 1000cc or should I get the 1200cc and why? Thanks again guys

 

The 1000's wont be enough. 1200's may not even be enough as many people are going with 1400's+dual pumps with a GT30. Most people on 1000's are getting high 90IDC's with just an FP Green.

As they are the same price, I am not sure why anyone is even getting 1000's for e85 over 1200's. It is nice to have a little room to play with.

You may also need dual walboro's.

 

I've got a ton of fuel with 1200's and a double pumper.

 

I got a single 255 with FIC 1350 @ 29 PSI on my Red and I am at 89% duty cycle. I will need to go to a double pumper to go up in PSI. My buddy is running FIC 1350's with the double pumper @ 34 PSI and is at 78% duty cycle. Both of us are on e-85

1000's won't enough. Get 1200's at min. With a single pump, you may not be able to hit 30 PSI. You want to stay under 90% duty cycle.

The RC1200's barely flow more than the RC1000's at the same base pressure.

 

1200's at a minumum... I used 1600's with my RED set up...

Call Buschur for the double pumper setup.

I wouldnt go smaller than 1200s, especially with the RCs. Precisions seem to flow a little better, and depending on the fuel pressure you run, you could use the Bosch/ID1000cc.

 

A dual, in-tank Walbro setup is a good, clean option for well north of 600whp, which you most likely will not see with an FP Red. You don't need to touch the fuel pressure.

The injectors you bought are sufficient for low 500s with a dual Walbro setup. A 1200cc injector would be a better idea, and you should consider an exchange before you get ahead of yourself. You should not need more than 1200s for your setup, and you'd rather not have anything larger if you ever intend on running gasoline, especially being that you are at altitude (which makes the engine effectively smaller).

 

I recommend FIC Bluemax Injectors! New Technology. I was going to run RC or PTE 1200's but the FIC 1050's have better flow then them. They are old technology! Looking into it; you don't want to go lean and blow something! Like Most Wanted said, he was running 1600's and I'm sure that was with a Buschur double pumper!

 

How do I install both in tank? Iam doing a conservitive tune only going to run about 26lbs of boost so Im guessing I will be around the 400 horse power range with my mods.

 

Help on where and how to install two in tank Fuel pumps also I was reading and found a modified walbro 255 fuel pump what about doing that?

 

How do the 1200's run when you need to run 93 on a trip or something?

I'm in 2.3 territory and thinking of doing E85 but we've only got 1 station.
