Here's the pictures I took last week. Mostly shows the white plastic gasket that comes with the Magnus manifold is too large to seal the Boomba TB adapter and would require the Ford TB gasket which is also pictured. You can also see the 0-ring on the Boomba TB in another picture. This o-ring will not seal against the Magnus without using the spacer/adapter since the opening on the Magnus is larger than the o-ring. If the AMS manifold doesn't require the adapter, then the opening must be smaller than the Magnus v5 manifold. If anyone wants measurements or more pictures of something else, let me know.

Pics are huge so I just posted the links.

Should I use anything to seal the spacer gasket to the manifold or just run it dry?

Thanks again to Boomba for their support on this!

Couldn't believe it but I got the spacer in the mail today much sooner than I expected. Boomba even sent a free t-shirt, battery hold down, and a key chain! Thanks Boomba!

I thought that was pretty awesome of them to do that!

I decided to take some more pictures and measurements. Sorry my camera takes horrible close up pics and the flash makes it worse sometimes. The opening on the Magnus is 3.5" dia, Boomba adapter is 4"x4" which means .25" of seal with the included Boomba gasket. O-ring on the Boomba TB is 3.25"x3.25" but when it bolted to the spacer, everything seals properly.

Few other pics of the combo, measurements and the TB itself.

You don't need the biss screw. Use the small allen screw which will adjust the stop position of the throttle blade at idle. Basically the same function as the biss screw.

I was going to have a guy named Jake tune it who has tuned many cars with AEM in the Denver area including DSM's. Other guys I would trust with AEM is Carz and Servion Tuning in the Springs and Harvey in Boulder. On the stock ECM I'd probably go with Carz. Just found out the new HTA 3586 is not a simple bolt in like I thought it would be. The exhaust outlet is larger and sticks out a tad more than the old Precision turbo.

Good question for Boomba.
I've heard pretty good things about jake.

You should hit up tobz though, he's getting pretty good with AEM i heard. He's been getting mentored by mitch who used to be with vivid.

I wouldn't trust anyone else if i was using someone else. My tune's worked pretty good so far.

Yeah, I've heard good thing about Tobz and I forgot to mention him since I know he tunes the stock ECU for many but I didn't know he has done AEM. So you tuned yours yourself or with Tobz?

.
Jake knows what he is doing

I've heard some good things about Mitch, but having "used to be with Vivid" is no great recommendation, given their history on this board...

Shawn, glad you got the Boomba TB to fit on that V5 manifold! That should be a wicked combo! It was a bit tricky to get my Skunk2 to fit on the V5 as well but not as complicated as the Boomba... I got my Boomba a few weeks ago and wanna do back to back tests in comparision with the Skunk2 TB that I currently have on my Wilson Manifold.

The Magnus V5 Manifold uses a lot more fuel up top so be careful, if your looking for a tune there is nobody that knows your Evo better than me!

Thanks Lucas! Yeah I know you have spent countless of hours and long nights on this car. I'm not sure what Mark did with the current tune, but the driveability and starting (hot or cold) really SUCKS. Jake wants to take a stab at it and see if he can figure it out if he can't then I'll be bringing it over to your shop. I realize it will need some changes with the new intake, turbo, and TB. The fuel line is WAY too small for the fuel it needs at top so I was going to use the vent line and bring the fuel down 2 stock lines into a Y out a -8an which will then go to the fuel rail. You'll have to let us know what you think between the 2 TB's. I think I saw you at the Mile High Nats last weekend.

Jake should have no problems... Tell him to give me a shout if he needs any pointers. Personally I think your engine would run better on C-16 or Q-16 because E-85 has been so inconsistant lately.

I agree about E85 and I was considering changing over to pump gas and C-16 (having 2 different tunes). E85 has also been known to leave traces of black goo on some injectors:

I took mine out last night and they were pretty clean but haven't seen that many miles with e85.

Thanks again for your input Lucas!
