data is great, and there are never enough back to back tests, thanks for sharing.
i think bigger cams and better flowing turbine would have had a little different result, but i bet there are a lot more evos with almost that exact combo than there are without.
the oem intake manifold is an excellent design as-is.
part of the advantage of better exhaust side isn't as much making power as extending your knock threshold.

Increasing knock threshold is nice. How does it increase with intake flows? Lower temps?

I just reread and saw you were saying improving the exhaust flow side to increase knock threshold.

Thanks for the data Abacus. I've seen little evidence that modifying the stock manifold helps, which is why I asked.

Problem for me with Skunk2 or Magnus is the smog cops... Not stoked on manifold swaps for inspection.

Dam bro your not kidding this was 9 years ago since the last post.
Im with abacus on this deal, anything other than stock IM for under 700hp is a total waste of money. I know guys who switched back to the stocker because just works better, spools early. It’s a marketing deal back in the day when all these people selling intakes. Seriously my intake is not even ported and did 800hp, 38 psi. The real advantage is the Magnus evens out the flow so #4 doesn’t run leaner than the rest, it gets a tad more air on big turbo motors with the stock Intake.
