need radiator

i just got my invidia headers on but theres no way these headers will work with stock radiator, the upper coolant hose is pushed up again the headers and theres not really any room to go around the headers with custom pipe so need to get a radiator with the upper coolant hose off to the side away from the headrers. my choices are- CBRD or KOYO

which one do you guys think i should get?

the cbrd rad is thinner then the stock unit, does it cool any better then the stock one?

how are the fans that come with these rad's?

could i use the stock fans for either rad?

Highly recommend the CBRD unit. Great fitment, excellent overall quality and excellent cooling for how thin it is. Your better off running a slim fan if you have clearance issues. Chad has a combo kit fan and rad together

i dont have clearance issues, i have upper hose issues. when i upgrade my turbo i'm going with either green, red, bbk so i dont have to worry about clearance.

Thanks

I have the koyo, and it is direct replacement, still using the stock fan. I wanted a full size radiator because I road race my car. I hear good things about the CBRD, but am skeptical going smaller on the radiator in Texas.

Can you trim the upper radiator hose to make it fit better?

Yes, it does. It has been tested thoroughly and against competitors. Did very well
Just because it is thinner does not always mean it does not offer the same kind of cooling. If the core design is more efficient then it does not have to be as thick to achieve the same results or better than a larger rad.

It's always better to have a bit more clearance to keep the heat transfer down.

If your going to run a stock framed turbo, then I would re-use the stock fans.

Isn't the evo 6 radiator a straight hose? If you know the length, I can most likely get one for you. Samco might have a hose as well.

thanks,

Michael
