Residue in my intake

Today as I was putting my hks evc in (SEE THREAD BELOW ) I noticed some greyish/blue residue in my intake. Is this abnormal?

nope thats just unburnt gas comming from the PCV valve..normal. Thats why I put a filter on the engine block, where that rubber line connects into the intake...

I was snooping around the other day checking some things out and I when I removed the stock BOV, I noticed alot of black sludge inside the intake. I didn't remove the intake from the turbo but it seemed like alot, and it's pretty close to the compressor. Is THAT normal?

Yes that is oil, comes from the same place.

Get an oil catch can if you want to avoid these things. It's all about emissions and recycling unburnt fuel/oil vapor from within the head.
