I have the ACT street disc and get lockout. I made it much better, but its not perfect by any means. from what I understand its a street disc issue and the pucks arent succeptible to this

I was in the same boat though. For heavy driving the quartermaster wont do the mileage. The Exedy has problems with the clips coming off, but supposedly if you triple washer it or use a positive stop, this will correct the problem, Spec looks to be a good option, but not many people running it.

 

Well I ordered the ACT MB7-HDSD (unsprung street disc) from AWD Motorsports, shipped to my door was 600, I am gonna just resurface my stock flywheel. I hope it works out for me. Mike from awd motorsports seems to be working his best to get the kit to me by my deadline, and am very pleased with him and his business,and answering all my questions.

Also I plan on using there billet motor mount set, underhood bushings, and ss clutch line. I hope I can get the motor mounts polished**** I might just get the 4" ETS intercooler core while I am at it

 

hmm i wouldnt go ACT, pos, had 2 already, personally if your thinking Exedy, thats lots of mulah, so id look at other twins like the Spec Super Twin =]

Take into account that there's also rebuild pricing, longevity, and drivability

 

i listened to all the "WE HATE ACT" hype at 70k miles when my stocker went, and i got an Exedy stage 1. worst thing i ever did. had nothing but lockout issues, and problems. hated all 50k miles of it. i recently put in an ACT HDSS and streetlite flywheel and LOVE IT. shifts like stock, no lockout at any rpm. good luck.

 

i really like my hdss alot but some of these threads got me crossing my fingers! lol

the only thing that bugs me about the clutch is it chatters. only at idle & when i shut the car off
