Any info on the denso pump? I can here my walbro over my catless tbe and it's getting annoying

 

Take some midol.... then sell your evo for a prius.

 

I like the whine.... It pisses people off. But then again... i like the rain. 8)

 

I recommend a big ol block of jalapeno cheese. It goes very nice with the Walbro whine.

 

The fuel pump whine bothers you? Maybe you should get another car or put the stock pump back inthe car. This evos make all types of annoying noises. If you ever want to go faster expect the car to make even louder annoying noises.

 

AMEN!! I catch hell from people all the time that ride in my car, evo's do make a lot of noise if ya start putting go fast parts on them. Gear whine, fuel pump, solid mounts, lumpy cams, no cat, ect. almost like hopping in the old camaro

An evo is not, and should never be expected to be a town car my pump is loud also though and has gotten worse as time has gone on.

 

Does the Walbro whine all the time? or just when your on the throttle? I have one on the bench here, was going to put it in..

 

Mine whines when i'm getting low on gas. I was told to always have at least a quarter of a tank of gas with the walboro as it's a high volume pump and she needs to stay submerged.

 

I do have another car. A Saleen Supercharged Mustang GT ( 06). That's a real whine.

But The Evo suits my needs more as far as daily driving. Great handleing and 4 doors for the family. PLus it has great performance. I just dont like the whine, not from a Basic bolt on Evo. That's why i was asking if there was a better option. I dont mind spending the extra cash for better parts.

i have the twin densos with the full blown kit and no wine, the wine on walbros can get better if you use the black insulator that some walbro kits bring, but you have to grind the plastic housing a bit.
