Anyone get phantom knock? We cant figure out why im knocking the only thing i can think of is my throwout bearing? Ive heard of people replacing there clutch and throwout bearing and there knock goes away?? Anyone hear of this before? My throwout bearing rattles bad! It never use to seems like since i put my cams in that when i started to hear the throwout bearing rattle. Ive checked almost everything and have had tuners look at my car and we still cant figure it out. Car is only at 334 whp because of knock and should be around 350 to 360. Im on E85 and only running 23lbs of boost! Any higher Boost produces the car to knock alot more! Anyone have a clue what i should check? And can my throwout bearing be it??? Thanks!!!

i run e85 and i get false knock alot as well during wot from what i hear its nothing to worrie about e85 is basicaly knock free .... when your running e85 you are tuned for it right? if you are you should be fine

 

Yes im tuned for it but i knock and it takes out timing therefore car is not as fast as it should be. I should be able to boost around 28 lbs but i cant cause if i go over 23 lbs it goes into crazy knock.

 

yeah mine dosnt always creat knock but it dose have that false come up once in a while from what i was also reading was to get step 3 colder plugs and ingnition booster but with the step 3 colder dont know how well that would work out with 93 oct well thats if you have the alt maps
