Fuse on Battery
Fuse on Battery
I had a problem with my amp's power supply wire. It got cut and grounded itself on the chassis of my EVO. To make a long story short, I noticed my sub cut out and my volts were down to 11.6. Not the 13 + normaly seen on my TT. I looked under the red plastic cap on the pos. battery terminal and it seems the 100 amp fuse is blown. Problem is, it looks like a whole big plastic piece. I mean, it doesnt look like the fuse comes out. Now what? Anybody have a clue how to replace it? Part number? I cant drive it until I get a charge back into the system, it wont drive long on battery power alone!! help!!..
Did you ever find out how you had to replace that fuse. I blew the same one and now my battery wont hold a charge. Im wondering if I need to replace just the fuse or order a whole new plastic piece that contains the fuse?
You can pry the plastic cover off and use a screw driver to connect the two brass tabs (this will work in an emergancy) And you can get a usable part at any junkyard (same part for the last 5 years I heard on all mitsus) My EVO has one liberated from a 02 lancer at the bodyshop that blew mine... Otherwise it's usualy a 2 day part order for your dealer...
