Exclamation Diagnostic tool to hook up to car for engine/car trouble shoot? Please help me guys!!

Hi guys-

Out of curiosity, is there some kind of diagnostic tool that I could buy and hook up to the evo .. like maybe the ECU to see like tps, injector cycle, read crank position etc? I am trying to troubleshoot a new engine that won't start and would really like to find something like this.. Please help, thanks..

Well, as long as the ECU is powered up, evoscan should be able to connect and read whatever the current values are. I can turn my ignition to the on position without actually starting the engine and connect to my ECU. I don't think you can maintain a connection while cranking the engine during a start though. If your engine won't even start I'm not sure any device that interfaces with the ECU would be of much help.

Thanks a lot.. I'm going to see what kind of readings and values I can get when I turn the ignition on. Thanks!
