Dual Rail wiring

So does anyone know how to wire up the secondary injectors for a dual rail setup? I just purchased the Magnus V5 with the dual rail and need to get the wiring done.

I searched and found some stuff on the plumbing for the fuel feed/return made by Buschur.

Dave you know hoe to wire the injectors?

Anyone?

first of all you need an aem or standalone and repin certain wires on the ecu let someone that is good a wiring do it thats what i did with my car...also need secondary resistor box too!!

Eight injectors ? Is it ever enough? I need a joyride in that badboy. Maybe you can sell tickets at the next meet to offset some costs.

Thats correct. On the wiring harness you want to run into pin 3, pin 78, pin 6, and pin 54.

As far as how you do it not sure. Maybe ask mike@awd since they run 8 injectors.

Run ground trigger wires to the injector pinouts from the ecu to the injector clip.

Run a 12v power supply to the second risistor box, then the 4 other wires out of the box to the injector clips.

Done.

Also dsm resistor boxes are the same and the pigtails as well.

It's that easy? Are you sure there is nothing else. reason I ask is cause i won't be doing it and the shop has never done it before either.

That's generous of you to let a shop learn on your car

I can either get defensive with your comments or I try and look them as maybe a compliment.

Answer me a few questions then:

1. Name a shop in CO that knows how to do to this anyways?

2. If no shop knows how to do it, how do they learn? How do they continue to get better?

with all of the things that I have done to my car and the limited number of shops that actually do good work on Evo's and have a good reputation there will be incidents where I buy parts that the shops won't know how to install.

Sorry to clown boss, I would try the DSM method above. It seems simple enough to make perfect sense. Unless you would want them to fire at different times, retarding or antilag. What sizes are you looking at to feed the beast?

There were a few things that Carz did that were good. One thing that was nice that they did was tube the car with meth. Now with most meth kits it's running all time. What he did was tune/ wire so that when I wanted meth to spray all I had to do was hit a switch down on my left and it would turn on allowing me to run all the way up to 29 lbs or 550Hp on my old setup. That was nice cause meth is expensive,

The only bad thing that I can think of is I asked for a shift lite to be put in and it was but it does not work and never has. Could be as simple as turning it on in AEM or something.

Ken that was aimed at you but at CO VR4.

I am planning on running Bluemax Injectors 1850cc secondaries and 1450 Primaries.

I agree that it seems easy. There are only two wires that come out of the injectors, those two wires join the other ones to become one pigtail. Then that pigtail can be wired into the AEM.

But are there specific ports that it goes into?

Why do I need another driver box? Are there no open ports on the current driver box I have?

These are the questions i need answered so I can take them to my Tuner and show him so he can get a better understanding of how to do it. My tuner already said the same things that have been said on here 7 hrs prior to me posting this stuff but I want to be sure that nothing is missed, nothing overlooked or wired wrong.

That is a serious fuel demand. Wow, and comprehensive tune to say the least. I seriously do want that joyride.

I thought this project was completed for you. I sometimes think I'm done as well. Speed is addictive. I should have been a fighter pilot.

The running out of fuel thing was something that was unseen. Although I did run out of fuel at 450 with my old 35R setup. So I should have known better. I did a little bit because I had the previous shop install bigger return and feed lines prior to picking the car up.

As my wife said the car will never be done.

I was just hoping it would be.

Once all of this is installed and worked out it should be done.

ouch, that one was below the belt!

Josh - would love to help but you have done more than enough to burn the bridge I spent building for you. Maybe if your so called "tuner" was actually AEM certified he would not be asking questions would he? Tell him to surf the AEM forums and he might figure it out.

Good Luck Pal!

There are or have been at least five dual rail setups on well known DSMs or Evos in Colorado that have run AEMs. It's nothing new -- just something that shows that whatever shop you're using is low on that particular learning curve. That's not necessarily a knock -- everyone has to learn, but my philosophy is that I find someone who already knows and pay them for their experience and expertise, or learn it myself so that I'm confident that it's done right. Having someone else experiment on my cars is not option #3.

BTW, how did you calculate the amount of injector you are planning to use? "Bluemax Injectors 1850cc secondaries and 1450 Primaries"? That's alot of fuel... and if you really needed that amount, you'd have to have a huge feed and pump system to run it... For purposes of comparison, 2200cc injectors run at normal base pressure will provide enough fuel for 1000HP in a gas system, or 700HP (conservatively) in a E85 system. You've got about 60% more injector planned than that...
