So haveing some clunking noise's from the left side of the tranny, right behind the 1st outer tranny seal where the axel meets the transmsision, when I spin the tires (in gear or not) theres a clunking noise from the tranny, it seems to make the noise when I 1st spin the wheel only.

Well not sure what could wrong with it, but I plan on opening the tranny, and trying to fix the problem. I need some help possibly, some advise, thats why I was hoping there may be a few people out here in the bay area, who has gone throw this proccess before and knows how to work on a evo tranny some what.

If anyone knows anyone let me know thanks. And before you most of you guys on here try to say take it to a shop! DONT I'm awere I could take it to a shop>


I been told it could possibly be the tranny diff, the noise sounds like something is loose. NOt sure how long I have before it goes Pooop! but wish I knew.

I think the noise may be normal, if anyone has there evo up off the gorund with drivetrain in place spin the wheel see if the clunk noise appears


I was planning on running at the track on wends GUess not now. uhhhhg

 

its the left side! I have a evo 8 t-case but the noise is not coming from the t-case at all.

it all most seems somthing is loose

anyone have a diagram of teh tranny and gears?????

 

man if you have anything besides a stock evo you might as well build the tcase and the tranny. those go as soon as you start building your car.
