I was wondering if can someone help. All my gears work but when I put it in reverse it acts like neutral. It will slot into reverse but when i release the clutch nothing happens. Im gonna re bleed my clutch and check the linkage under the center console today. Any other insights on the problem? Also I have a 05 Evo 8 and was wandering if the warranty for drivetrain was 100k? Thanks in advance! =(

sounds like something might have broken or come apart in the trans. you say all the other gears work well?

 

This just happened out of nowhere?? Or clutch install? Reverse doughnuts...? Anything..?

did u just do a clutch replacement? or how many miles are on the currect clutch? sounds like something internal unless u just did a replacement incorrectly.

 

the clutch was replaced last yr.. i had some issues where the shifter would get stuck in reverse and had to use force to get it out of gear

 

sounds like something happened to the reverse idler gear. its the gear that only reverse has to make everything turn the opposite way of the engine.
