In need of assistance...

Well, I'm looking into installing my ETS fmic and I wanted to know which clamps are best to use and where can I buy them? The follow are a few candidates

-WORM DRIVE HEAVY DUTY CLAMPS
-T BOLT clamps
-JCS High Grip

BTW, I was wondering what an o2 eliminator is? And what is it's purpose?

Please feel free to input your experiences and knowledge! Anything and everything is appreciated as long as it's on topic!!

Here are the clamps you need:

After your install be sure to do a boost leak test.

I assume you are talking about the O2 eliminator for the rear O2 sensor. That is used when you run a test pipe on your exhaust to not throw a code.

Silicone intakes makes a kit made specifically for the Evo.

I highly recommend these guys. I have the kit myself, just waiting to install it. They include everything you need and then some. The clamps are excellent, the service is top notch, the prices are LOW, and I have always gotten my stuff within 2 days of ordering it.

Use caution when using that clamp kit, I used that exact one for a short time on my car and when I did the boost leak test I found I had a slight leak at the FMIC to UICP clamp and when I went to tighten it, the clamp broke. I put one from NAPA on there and have had no problems and I crank the heck out of it. I also went back to NAPA a couple of days later and bought the rest of the ones I needed to convert all of the charge pipe clamps to the "contant torque" clamps. They are used on the cooling system for large trucks. Just my .02 the whole setup cost me less than $50 and I'll probably never have to replace them.

i personally would not use tbolt clamps for me they preform like complete crap your better off using the reguler screw in clamps and tighting you can get them from any auto store. now the website is A1 as i have order several hoses clamps from them before no issues there i just would never recommend tbolt clamps lol i have a box full of them i used once and took off after test drive. Bov kept slipping out intercooler popping out and they were overtighten as well. They did not seal correctly and where a pain to install on the bov and upper pipe. Useless peace of metal if you ask me. lol you can buy all mine dirt cheap i have the size you need and more.

Jmelocik What up buddy are you back?? Tons of new stuff going on with the Evo man seriously lol pm me for details

We use a Breeze T-bolt clamp with a guide built in so the clamp won't slip or lose seal. They also tach the clamp together with 3 welds instead of 1.

Thanks!

No, I sure didn't read any of them. I assumed based on the fact that he was asking about the size of clamps he should get that you didn't post the link to the kit. Nothing worth getting butt-hurt about.

As far as the clamps being bad, that's kind of odd, I never had an issue using them on my boosted hondas, but I'll have to keep that in mind when I install these..
