boost leak problem

i did a boost leak check today and all was good except for a leak and squealing noise coming from the forge boost controller. on the actual controller that u would turn to set the boost level there is a small pin hole in the side of the controller and air is coming out and making a squealing sound. is this normal? The hole looks factory. the air is coming out pretty hard and its kinda loud.

Manual boost controllers are supposed to leak.

Did you follow the how-to?

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...er-5-02-a.html

"If you have an MBC - plug off the turbo line that goes in it (usually on the bottom of MBC) as MBC are supposed to let air vent, so it'll be doing just that during the test through a small hole unless you plug off that line (take off the line, put a screw in it)."

I would just plug it just as he says. gl

You have to plug the pressure source for the mbc to do a leak test properly.

yes. they leak. it's how they work. just bypass the MBC. connect to the two lines together with a connector. test. put MBC back.

pizzow! done.
