Do you guys ever grind seond gear when you are racing and try to change from first to second. I have done it a couple times, but only at high RPM's and going from first to second quickly. When I went to the track 2 months ago there was an EVO and an Sti that were both grinding second on there runs. It is strange to me becuse under normal driving conditions the shifter feels so smooth. Just wondering if this happens to anyone else???

 

Change your transmission fluid...It helps substantially....

 

I haven't had a grind since I changed to MT90 either, but I can say that I am at least 150% more comfortable driving this car than I was 2000 miles ago.

 

what do you guys recommend for the tranny and diff oil change. I know they only take a specific type and I dont want to be putting crap in there either. I have 4,000 miles on my car now, so next time I change my oil I want to switch the fluids in the drivetrain also. I hope this will fix that grind.

ya i grinded mine about 5 times when im really gettin on it..but it was all my fault..no big deal **** happens when you change your fluids its alot smoother but still will happen...just gotta make sure clutch is in far enough in too get into second

 

I used Redline and haven't grinded 2nd since. Used too all the time.
