Ok trying to put my tranny back in on my MR. I had it close then the jack shifted and i heard a ping. the shaft hit the wedge collar and popped it off.. Do I have to buy a new pressure plate? Can this be put back on? anyone offer some words of wisdom please

 

It can be reinstalled. You'll have to take the pressure plate off again. Make sure you have all the wave springs.

Once the pressure plate is back off, stack all the wave springs on the wedge collar. push it through the pressure plate center hole and clip the retaining ring around the wedge collar fingers.

 

I found 2 wave springs is there more? Also I did not see the retaining ring is that on the inside of the pressure plate?

 

2 wave spring washers is stock, but if you're using an aftermarket clutch 3 or 4 is recommended.

 

I have an aftermarket clutch. I have an ACT MB7-HDSS

 

2 works, but 3 or 4 won't hurt, especially if you have your slave restrictor pill removed.
