SAFC II delay normal?

I just finished hooking up my SAFC II tonight, and I turned the ignition to the accessory position just to be sure everything worked. It came up fine, so I turned off the ignition, and the unit remained on for about 10 seconds, then went off with an audible click from the engine compartment. I did not enter any settings, and I had doors and hood open. ANyone else had this, is it normal? Thanks for the help.

I just installed the emanage and it does the same think--a few sec pause and it turns off with a click from the engine bay.

Normal?

Got an answer from Al, yes it is normal since the SAFC derives power from the ECU, which is the last item to power down, hence the delay. Thanks Al, see you for the Dynoflash on the 1st. I would assume eManage delays for same reason, as it is tapped into ECU power as well?

I got the SAFC-II and AVC-R on my EVO, the car runs fine, however, once in awhile, the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light comes on for no reason. But the car still runs fine. I can reset/turn off the warning light by disconnect the car battery for a while.

Does anybody experience similar problem? Would you think it was because of the ASFC-II problem? Or anybody has any clue on this problem?

I noticed the warning light comes on usually after I pushed the car real hard (rev to redline) or i floor the throttle in 2nd gear try to bring the car up from 1000rpm to the redline.

Please help

thanks

Wut kind of knock readings are you getting, that might contribute to the CEL being on.

What's your SAFC2 and AVCR setting? Any other mod?

I am doing some test on my car now and hopefully I can find out what the problem is. I will post updates here if i got these resolved.

At this point, i don't think is problem of the setting on the AVC-R or SAFC-II

In another thread someone mentioned that Pep Boys can do a scan to tell you what the CEL is for. I have not checked into this, but it sounds like a good place to start.
