Nope , Sorry. The pipe is just bigger around to help flow more air. The MAF sensor attaches to the end of the pipe. Basically you can't get rid of the MAF unless you convert the car using a complete engine management system.

I think that Buschur is running without the MAF sensor now that they are using the AEM EMS. I have not talked to Tym, but somewhere he posted something saying they were getting it dialed in still.

 

you will need some sort of fuel management when adding the pipe. Tests have shown that adding the pipe alone affects the airflow into the motor so much that the stock ecu can not correct itself enough to compisate for it. Some have lost 5-10hp by adding the pipe.

 

The MAF pipe simply replaces the stock corrugated black pipe that is between the MAF and the turbo inlet.

There isn't a VTA problem. There is NO need for a VTA BOV, which is why there is no problem.
