Were to Start......Advice
So I’m looking at putting some money into my car over the long ****ty Canadian winter. But i go over and over in my head what area is best to start with.
Upgrading the Turbo set up would get me the biggest horsepower gains, but i don't want to damage my motor in the process. I could start building the bottom end on the car, but i won't really see much of a horsepower gain ( i may up the CR to 9:5) but will give me a bullet proof bottom end.
Or last on the list i could put money into the head getting oversized valves, 3 angle valve cut (i may not do that since Evo heads flow fairly well) duel valve spring...etc
So i just wanted to get some opinions on what area is best to start on, or what area of your motor did you start on and why?
Thanks Gents

I am going to assume by your sig that you have a 2006 IX MR
Not sure of your mods but here is a good set-up.
3inch TBE
intake
FMIC
Intercooler Pipes
Injectors
Boost Controller
BOV
FP Green
Meth with 30psi
Cams
ARP head Studs
Clutch
Exhaust Manifold
Everyone has their own set-ups that they like and this is a very basic version of the set-up I like.
I do not know your goals, but the 4G63 motor is proven to take a s**t load of abuse. Depending on what power level your shooting for you probably will not have to build the motor.

if ur worried about the motor and not planning on going with high boost then i would do some of teh basics:
3'' tbe
O2 housing
intercooler kit (fmic + piping)
fuel pump + injectors
ported ex manni
intake
if ur planning on boosting under 25psi, then ur stock bov should be good to go!

^^ Honestly I just went looking for that picture and i can't find it again. I only have the tiny Avatar picture that i have, and you really can see **** all in it. I believe its and INGS body kit with some canards on the front (can't remember the company that makes them). I'll keep looking for that pic, the car does look sick as F%8k
Anyway back to the car. I have all the basic stuff, the car makes 400WHP as it sits now. So that's why I want to really get into this car and start on some more serious stuff.... just don't know what stuff to start first.

If you already have all the bolt-ons to make 400whp, I would definitely recommend a turbo upgrade as your next mod. The turbo you go with will then depend on your horsepower goals and what you use your car for (drag, road race, etc.).
