Has anyone used the HKS speed limiter remover or speed defenecer. Its like 99 bucks and i was wondering does it really work and is it worth it to buy

I believe there is a speed limiter at 155mph. Could be wrong, but that is what I have read.

 

how can the evo8 not have a speed limiter? doesnt every car have one

 

Yes, I have it in mine. I'm not sure it would work on USDM cars though. It is set to disable the 180km/hr speed limiter on all JDM cars. It sends a "trick" signal to the ECU telling it that the car is only going 175. I wouldn't recommend getting it if you plan on remapping the computer or getting a new one. It's a piggyback and I'm not too fond of them. I wish I had just mapped my computer instead of getting the piggybacks. But yeah, it does work. Does what it is meant to do, but like I said, dunno about USDM cars.

 

I saw lots of evo cars has 180km/h limit on their speedometer while mine its show till 300km/h.

 

USDM evos dones't have a speed limiter, you're only limited by the rev limter/fuel cut. not all cars have speed limiters, if you read car and driver, you'll see that some cars are gorverner limited and some car are drag limited. Evo fell into the latter.
