Question Getting rid of speed limit buzzer

First of all hello everyone, i am new here.

I bought my Lancer 2008 GLS (equivalent to the ES) about a week ago. Now, whenever my speed gets over 120 km/h, this annoying alarm start buzzing every second or two and it won't go off until my speed gets below 120...any idea how to remove it or at least, make the limit higher than 120 (say 160)? can it be programmed by us or should it be done at the dealer's? or it cant be done at all ??

Many thanks in advance!

Damn, a 75mph limiter?

I really don't know. US Lancers don't have a limiter like that (that I know of, and I've had mine over 100mph[160km/h]).

I would venture to guess that it could probably be changed by a MUT, possibly at your dealer.

I got mine to 120MPH and no alarm or buzzer. Must be a country regulation.

wow, if you get to 140mph with this one your good.
I had a 340whp volvo and was finding you need a lot of road to get to these kind of speed, so i wonder how long you need with this one :| . Maybe your US roads are better then ours in canada hahaha.

Im in Canada, and have had my car doin 180km/h many times, and never heard a buzzer or chime. Everyday I cruise on the freeway doin 120-140km/h, and have not heard it.

Yeah, I don't think you're gonna get an answer to your problem in this forum...
