Recently purchased this vehicle from a local car-yard.
Is there a wire at the ECU that i can cut to remove the speed limiter ????

Buy tactrix/evoscan cable
Download ecuflash (it's free!)
Read ROM from car
Alter speed limiter (I don't think you can do unlimited but set it to like 500kmh etc)
Write ROM back onto car
Done

Around there, but 180 kmh is less than 120mph.

depending on what year evo you have you may not be able to just reflash. I know the evo IV evu can't be touched.

You can also get rid of the limiter by cutting one of the wires to the ECU, but in all honesty, you don't need to be going faster then 180...just leave it in.

All evos from 5 up are reflashable. Near stock EVO 8s can get over 100 mph (160kmh) on the drag strip and can easily exceed 125 mph (200 kmh) on the track.

Not trying to be rude, but it might not be worth it for an EVO 4 but it is for an 8 (keeping it to the track of course).
