Geoff,

Do the internally wastegated twin scroll EFR turbos (e.g. T4 1.05) maintain true dual path airflow?

Regards,

H. Kurt Betton

Hmm, good question.

Also, those Loooong turbine outlets, I hope those are only for the internal wastegate versions? That would never fit on my car. The O2 housing would go right through my oil filter.

The long diffuser seems to only be on the internal gate setups. It sounds like the T4 divided non-wastegated is at least close to a T4 replacement as it still works with their T4 manifold on the EVO.

I think that long diffuser might also be because it might be the T25 version where the turbine wheel is pretty small. To go to a 3" outlet with a shallow angle is going to take a bit of length. It might also just be the camera angle. One of the pictures makes it look like the diffuser is 5" long. The others make it look more like 2" long.

hey guys - checking in from SEMA - the borgwarner booth #21422 is off the hook, with sierra sierra's time attack evo and full-race R34 GTR, both equipped with full-race twinscroll manifolds and EFR 8374 turbos.

Sierra Sierra's EFR 8374 is the 1.05 a/r and uses the full-race twinscroll with dual external wastegates, a direct bolt-on to their existing Full-Race manifold and downpipe. So far they were pleased with the results from the EFR turbo and internal BOV, seeing dramatic improvements immediatley from their older setup. We are looking forwards to seeing their first twinscroll efr raceday at superlap battle (in 2 wednesdays)

If you are in Las Vegas, come visit us at the borgwarner booth. many Full-Race EFR kits are on display in the booth, evo of course being part of that. All the EFR turbos will be posted up on full-race.com by the first day of SEMA (tomorrow ill try and post pics up!) as the full 2011 borgwarner catalog will be released

I'd punch a baby in the face for the sierra sierra dyno sheet about now.

I sent my delegates from 2020 Motorsports down to SEMA...and gave them explicit instructions to find the F-R/ BW booth and say hi.
