i hung out with the tial crew last week at PRI, and yes that is definitely in your dream.

the new 44mm tial wg's are absolutely SICK and most definitely not in your dreams (as well as being $50 less expensive to boot)

It all adds up and it all goes against my goal of having a very light evo.
if you want to be **** we can go 1 step down in wall thickness on the header, and use (2) MVS's w/ 1.5" dumptubes (thinwall)... the turbine hsg weight is worth every f#&king ounce

its a little bit bigger than the MVS 38mm you are talking about... same exact flange and outlet as the old 44s, just 1" smaller and a better valve design which can never ever come loose

Oh man, be careful with having brake lines that close to the turbo and manifold. I hope there is a LOT of heat protection added on to that setup.

Looks sick though. Looks like a ***** to weld too.

03whitegsr,
Go look at a SRT-4's firewall. Not saying it's right... but it's that way.

Yeah, I realize that's where the lines are stock, if that's what you were getting at? Doesn't the stock turbo and manifold have a shield around it though?

It is just crazy having brake fluid that close to the turbo, being that it is flammable and high temps in the fluid is a bad thing for brake performance. With all that added manifold material compared to stock, and the larger downpipe, etc. just seems kind of sketchy.

go check out a turbo K series! The put the turbine housing right next to the reservoir! I've run a few setups on my 1st gen neon... never had an issue. This setup actually has more space between the turbine housing and the brake lines than most manifold combo's for SRT-4's/Neons. I either use reflective tape or zip tie heat wrap around the lines... but to calm your fears I've never experienced brake fade on my personal turbo neons from this.

Not my fears. I don't own a neon, nor do I own a K-series.

Just putting it out there as it's something I'd be a little hesitant to do.
