My car that is equipped with a 50trim turbo when using low boost 14psi the car runs fine but when running 20psi is not pulling so hard and when you go on 3rd gear the car like it goes off boost (like it holds)and then pull again.. what can be the problem?

 

Plug gap?

 

I don't think is plugs bc this only happens under high boost,but last time I checked them they where very open,also I notices that I have a manifold leak where it meets the turbo u can feel the leak if you put your hand in front of it,could this be part of the problem,ill change plugs,where should the gap be?but I don't understand why this happens only on 3rd gear there is where you feel that the car really holds you down

 

dont go bigger than .024, dont change the plugs just regap them first and see what happens

bad clutch? when mine went it only slipped during spool up and the boost would flutter during peak torque then it would go again

 

I launch this car very hard and the clutch holds like it should..

 

and the sign is that the car when you go into 3rd gear and go into boost ,it holds the power down ,not a sign of bad clutch
