crazy loud noise!!!

I just bought an exedy stage 2 cerametallic clutch and had my mechanic put it in my evo 8. I drove it home and it seemed fine, a little whining noise but nothing crazy. I took it out for a spin later on and the clutch started making a very much louder noise it gets worse as i speed up. Also i can get it to take off before 2500 rpm's is that normail?
Did my mechanic messed up?
Is there enough oil in there? (I put in 3 quarts of redline)
Please help guys i had to park my cark at a friend's house overnight becuase i'm scared it might be the tranny, or the clutch not being aligned right.
This is the worst noise i have ever heard on my evo, nothing compared to the noises from the vids on youtube.
All i did was a 5000 rpm launch on the road before the noise got worse.

Did you launch a freshly installed clutch before you broke it in?

^Seriously, please don't say you did that, OP. I mean you typically could be okay but there is always the possibility that you fugged yourself.

I do have some clutch noise on my evo too but its only when its not in gear, its considered normal since I have a 6 puck from rps but you do know you need to have some sort of break in like 500 or so miles depending on the material

It wasn't really a launch, it was just about 4500 rpms, becuase i can't get it to move past 2500 rpms and my foot slipped a bit :/ . But that is when the noise got worse.

Did your mechanic tell you to allow 500 miles for break-in? FWIW - driving on the freeway wouldn't be considered break-in. You'd want to drive normal with plenty of shifting for obvious reasons. Let us know how it goes tomorrow and did you let him know you did a partial launch?

a lot of people that I've talked to say in town driving is best for breaking in a new clutch, when you say it won't move, do you mean like that its slipping? does the rpm free rev then catch a bit?

Could be whine associated with the t-case. If he put the wrong fluid in there it could make that sound and progressively get worse. I am not sure why it won't take off before 2500 rpm's though.

Don't backpedal. It seems pretty obvious that you intentionally launched it because you had your new fancy clutch and it's no coincidence that that's when the noise blew up. Hope you didn't wreck anything, but what were you thinking? Did you read anything on here?
