Time for the DP!

I installed my HKS carbon ti system last week (sounds amazing, looks amazing, and performs amazing), and am about to order a new cat (high flow or offroad) and a downpipe My question is what is the overall best downpipe, at least from all your experiences? I was thinking RMR, but i heard you needed to buy the lower arm bar, so essentially the real cost is 300 plus whatever for the new lower bar I was also considering the Perrin cat delete with 02 fix, but didnt know if it was a quality pipe or not? Any help, input, pics, whatever would be really appreciated, thanks alot guys!

most dp's require change of crossbars as for the perrin cat-delete its a very nice piece and very good quality.i have a rmr catback and downpipe with the cat-delete and i really like the deep sound of it.

Where did you get your carbon-ti cat back from? Can you post a pic of it by any chance?

About the downpipe. I figure the HKS downpipe would probably work the best with the cat back you have. Seems to me it would be designed that way. I'd get the 3" HKS downpipe and be happy. Wouldn't a Perrin cat delete work with the downpipe and cat back? I figured I'd do something like that.

The HKS Downpipe is actually closer to 2.5 inside. I have it on my car right now and it smoothed out the powerband considerably with the stock catback. I plan on adding a 3in catback as well with my thinking being anything larger after the smaller downpipe is not a restriction, therefore I can maintain a better torque curve with the slightly smaller downpipe without bottling up the system. 3in is considered to be an extreme by some tuners on a near stock car without a turbo upgrade. If any tuners would like to confirm, deny, or elaborate on this please do.

I could have sworn I've read the HKS downpipe is 3". I guess I'll have to look around some more then.

Either way though, I'll still go with the HKS downpipe after I get my carbon-ti exhuast on Monday. Got a e-mail saying it scheduled to be deliveered.

if you already have any hks catback stick with the hks dp so that the flow is consistent not somewhat squeezed on the way out.

The factory lower bars are pretty sad if you take a look at them. You'd be better off going with the RMR brace if you have a 3" DP or the Cusco brace with a stock or less than 3" DP.
