I recently purchased and had installed a Python 880xp alarm on my '03 Evo8. I got it from Mobile Extreme - NY

These are my issues.

1. Check engine light stays on. Unnerving to say the least. It wasn't on originally, but after I stopped to drop my friend off, it came on.

2. Harder idling.

3. Clutch no longer needs to be depressed to start engine.

4. Panneling missing under driver's side steering column, above pedals. Significantly louder cabin noise as a result.

Now I'm fairly sure I shouldn't have any of these problems -I've never had an aftermarket alarm- ,but I'm going back on Saturday to hopefully have them all remedied. Any other evo8/880xp owners? Is the clutch supposed to be like that?

Hm, was there a panel underneath there before? I had an aftermarket alarm installed too (Hornet 554t), but I don't remember if there was a panel there before or not. I don't have one now, though...
