GSC S1 cam on Evo 7

hi,

Do i need adjustable cam pully such as hks when installing S1 cam? My mech told me i need to get a set of adjustable cam pully as my car idle is like sh*t after the cam installed... or is there any thing missed out by him?

no cam gears are needed and if you get evo 8 cams you will have no problem putting them in a 7. same engine minus the antilag setup.

You have only to remap your ECU

i bought a set of hks adjustable pulley instead of remap ecu as there's no tuner to help on remap the ecu. Wat setting I should set for the hks pulley?

Thanks.

Just use your stock gears, an adjustable cam gear is not a replacement for a tune.

i was told i can either remap or use the adjustable pulley to "fix" this issue. I'm hoping to use the adjustable pulley to resolve the idling issue first so I can have my car back while i getting my standalone ecu early next year.

idle will improve if you decrease the overlap, but any means.
so advancing the exhaust, or retarding the intake.

tuning for power/response is another matter.
my kelfords 272 made the best response with +5/+3, but we lost top end (which i'm happy with)
