Turning boost down?

If I turn the boost down 1 psi on my current tune will I get any negative affects? I'm tuned @ 23.8psi on pump 91 with a TBE, ETS 3.5'' FMIC, ETS intake, ETS uicp & licp, walbro fp, and mbc. Can I drop it down to 22psi without a retune?
Sorry for the silly question but I'd rather get flamed for asking instead of blindly doing things

Thanks

You should be fine, i wouldn't worry about it at all...If you paid for a full tune though your tuner shouldn't have a problem changing your a/f's for winter a bit.

You should be fine You have to pass 22psi to get to 23 psi, right? Send you a PM back.

i like the way you worded that! for the OP, the only thing bad that will really happen if you turn the boost down is you will lose a little power!

great answer.
you dont need max boos to get your car to move. most of your driving is actually spent in low boost. so turning down one psi will not cause any ill effects.

then again i think turning down one psi is going to do much of anything.

You can turn boost down without any ill effects. As you dont drive in full boost at all times, its obviously not going to hurt if you arnt going all the way up.

Thanks guys. My shop/tuner is pretty far away from me, about 120 miles one way. I'm going back early feb. to change a few things around so untill then I just wanted to lower it 1 psi. My tune is rock solid with no knock but it's a comfort issues with me, I'd feel better with 22 psi lol

just turn it down a few psi and you have even LESS chance of knock with lowering psi than your tune now especially if you have "no knock" now
