when you first start the car does the check engine light flash? was it previously moddified? If so It could have been equiped with a tephra patch. Try turning your key to run then hold your gas pedal floored for atleast 10 seconds the check engine will flash if it is equiped.

I see that you changed the MAF, have you tried resetting the ECU after the install? Pull off the NEG battery terminal for about 10minutes and see if that will reset the code.

It seems that that would make it worst? if i pulled it while the TB was shut, it would make the fastener go back even further. i need it to come closer to the TB.

I asked my tuner about the valet mode. Falls out of question because the check engine light would flash. The code reads MAF sensor fault...
Wrong. The CEL only flashes momentarily when valet mode is activated for about 3 seconds. It can very well be valet mode, in fact that's exactly what it sounds like. An MAF Code shouldn't be stopping your car from revving past a certain RPM, it will only cause it to run like crap.

First check valet mode! I'm willing to bet that's what it is. If you are really having that many problems with your MAF just take it off and run Speed Density.

To get valet mode off turn the car to the "on" position, don't turn the car on, and hold the gas to the floor for 5sec. The check engine will flash and valet will be turned off. Try that and lmk

sorry for the delayed response. I fixed the problem, it was indeed an issue with the MAF. several of my MAF wires were cut beyond the black wire crotectant so as soon as I soldered them together, the car ran beautifully!

Thanks all for the help.
