Exclamation Spark plug cover cracked!

This morning I got up to swap out my K&N cone filter before I hit the canyon roads and noticed that my spark plug cover was cracked. The crack is on the bottom right side around that bolt and now the right side is slightly bent upwards. Is this bad? Should I be worried about it? Will it cause me any problems? I'm going to order a new one on monday, probably carbon fiber, will I be fine with a cracked one till I replace it?

If it is your sparkplug cover and not your valve cover, I wouldn't be too worried about it. If water fills up down there then you have to worry about it getting on the coils, but all it is there for is to keep stuff out. It should not affect anything else. You could also get a washer and put it around the bolt so it holds down more of the surface of it

Mine had been cracked in the same exact spot. Hadn't run into any issues with it being cracked either. Rode around like that for quite some time.

I think they all crack. everyone I have seen that is not new or almost new is cracked. it seams like the plastic shrinks as the bolt holes line up sh*ty once you remove the cover.

The cover doesn't seal. Plus, there is a drain hole (if it isn't plugged with dirt). The cover is there for looks.
