Today at BM Tranny, however, all four Stage 1 cars were making 310-320whp on pump gas (on an *AWD* Dynojet). Stage Zeros were making ~290whp. Stage Zero with downpipes were making ~300whp. One catless Stage 0 made 310whp (but it stunk literally). Stock cars baseline around 230-240whp. Interesting to note that Stage 0, 0+ and 1 baseline maps are now within ~10whp of final custom tuned maps. Guess this traveling is really paying off since we don't have to detune the heck out of the baseline maps for safety's sake.
Cheers,
shiv

Sorry to hear about your problems with Vishnu. Unfortunately it is not a unique story. Supply and demand have no doubt decimated their staff's current capabilities. I have learned to "fire and forget" the order until it magically shows up. It is currently the only cure for "Vishnu Order Anxiety Syndrom" short of choosing another tuner as you and many others have demonstrated, and I don't blame you.
I am not making excuses for their undeniably poor sales and ordering support, just sharing my opinion that at the end of the day it was all worth it. I am completely satisfied with the performance that the Vishnu modifications and tuning have delivered.
Additionally, I will say that in my case, the after-sales support has been exceptional. I have had a Stage Zero since May and just upgraded to the Stage One. Whenever I have had a question about the Xede, Shiv has always personally responded quickly.
I liken the Vishnu ordering experience to the purchase of my Evo. I ordered it in December sight unseen and without any of the final production details. For almost four months, no one could tell me anything about when I would actually get it. That too turned out to be worth the wait.
Best of luck in your tuning endeavors,

I am glad the after sales support is good I was REALLY worried about that. Still should you have to order it and forget about that? Before I sold my company if I did that there is no way I would of treated my customers like that, That would make me feel bad. Anyway nice chart and glad you are happy with his stuff. I hope he turns it around but I have a feeling he is too busy to really get things right.

Come on Shiv, you left yourself wide open for that one.
Incidentally, I ran 118mph in my full weight Eclipse GSX with an Evo III 16G over the weekend. That is the mph record for that turbo. I know you are happy for me.

For less than $1000, you can go to a muffler shop and get a 3" crush bent complete exhaust made as well as buy and in stall an S-AFC. For another $30, you can install an MBC and crank up the boost to 20psi. Then, for about $175, you can convert your car to fwd and dyno on a 2wd Dynojet. With some tuning, you should not have a problem getting well over 300hp at the front wheels. The area under the curve and run-to-run consistency won't be optimal but, man, you'll have a killer bang-for-the-buck hp number generator.

ShapeGSX,
Ah, I forgot who I was talking to
In drag strip lingo, customers with Stage 1 cars are running trap speeds in the 110-113mph range. This kit costs $2200 (with non-sig exhaust). Add camshafts and traps should climb another 3-4mph. This is with a cat, factory intake, factory BOV, factory intercooler and no weight reduction. Personally, I don't think this is too shabby. But then again, I've only been to the drag strip once or twice in my life and spent most of my time at the concession stands eating nachos.
Cheers,
Shiv

I'm more interested in actual results than dyno numbers, though. So knock off the conversion price and dyno time.
