Need some advice on turbo

Recently the turbo on my IX went. Short on time and cash I got a VIII turbo and o2, except the the oil lines what other issue will I run into? Are there any advantages/disadvantages of running a evo viii turbo? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

you wil have to use a longer hose for the water line and to modify the oil return to fit just cut it about a inch from the bottom flange and an inch from the top and use a hose and clamps and it will be fine

you will be down 20hp or so but it will be fine to drive on, the 8 turbo is noticeably smaller than the IX. no biggie, our shop IX is running on a 8 turbo before the engine is taken out

the only different between a 9 and a 8 turbo is the y pipe connect to the turbo near the starter. dont waste money buying any lines. Your evo9 lines will work with the 8 turbo. i suggest u sale the 8 turbo and get something else. it is very small man. i had one laying in my garage. Just had the new 80mm fp red put in. i love the red turbo.
