K1 crank issue... american language expert needed!!!!

Hello,
I have some emails from K1 about a crank of them...
We arrange to send it to AMS along with a new set of rods and check it for clearance.
The issue is who is going to pay AMS.

This is the email from K1....

"Here is what I am offering to do. Even though the problem you had was not the fault of a K1 product, I have decided to take your side in this and help you out. I can fix your crank to better than new condition (even better than a new crank) and not charge you for it. I will also talk with AMS and make sure they put together the parts that you need to prevent any problems in the future and will not charge you for this service. You will be able to check all of the specifications of the crank, rods and bearings before you install it in your engine. I will also ship you this crank and pay for the shipping charges."

So please I need opinions from people who are familiar with the language....

Who is going to pay AMS?
Who is going to pay shipping cost to me?

This post is offtopic but please I need your help because I am feeling that K1 trying to cheat me.I am feeling like a fool... because I trust them....

Personally I have seen you complain about just about every part in your engine build from the cosworth pistons to now the crank. If you think you can just buy parts and throw them in an engine, you cannot. Everything needs to be mic'd and measured, clearanced and adjusted if needed, EVEN OUT OF THE BOX NEW.

Cosworth pistons complaint:

FP Red Turbo complaint:

EXEDY Multiplate complaint:

So you can write Engrish, but you can't speak it? I mean really man the email states that there going to cover everything, yet you make this waste of space thread. It's people like you that give company's bad names for no reason.

Hey,hey,hey!!!!!!!!!!!!
All of YOU understood the same that I understood!!!!!!!!
YOU ARE ALL Wrong!!!!

Another email came from K1..... and says....
"I said I will talk with AMS which means I will communicate with them to insure they will use the correct parts and not charge for the service of communication. You will not be billed for the shipping to AMS or the grinding of the crank."

So everyone here DIDN'T understood just like me!!!!

I have to pay for EVERYTHING!
That was what he told in the first post/email..... (at least he said that)...

The guy from K1 told me that...
-He will not cherge me for the phonecalls that he made on AMS.
-Also "shipping to you" means shipping to AMS.

Men..... the american language is too difficult to understand. We all made the same mistake and believe that all will be for free!!!!

Cosworth Pistons.
Finally they understood that EVERY PISTON they SOLD for evo is faulty and they STOPPED the production!
The exchange every old piston with new ones!.
ALL the old pistons for Evo's make crack after 2000 miles!!!!!
I have photos from 20 cosworth pistons with cracks in the same point!!!!
I have emails also from Cosworth for the problem and exchange!
Did you know anything about that?
They will have a new design of pistons for Evo's from January!

FP Red.
I do not have a warranty because I was stupid and didn't asked AL to email me a receipt when I purchase the turbo.I have only bank transfer receipt's but... these receipt doesn't help.... They need the dealer receipt.
So from now on I learned that YOU HAVE to keep the receipt for every part you buy if you want warranty!

Exedy clutches.
It was my mechanic fault.I JUST made a Q in order to be sure.
Exedy clutches have quality!

EXEDY carbon clutches do no last long and they all burn up on carbon on steel technology. Carbon clutches are not good street clutches. The cerametallic is a better clutch for the street and its cheaper.

I understood that now mate.
That's why I bought an AMS/Exedy push triple cerametallic clutch kit now.

So what do U think about K1 now?
Did I and all of you misunderstood the first email?
We all thought that K1 will pay for AMS job and shipping to me,right?

Then K1 replied to me (after 2 weeks and after I sent them the crank and a set of new rods) that I misunderstood that and that they just told me...
1.I will not have to pay K1 for the phonecalls they made to give AMS technical support for how to get the right rod and main clearance!!!
2.I will not have to pay for the shipping from K1 to AMS !

Am I so fool and I can not understood the language or they cheating me?

I am running a K1 crank in both my EVO and my STI - FANTASTIC PRODUCT and people behind the brand are TERRIFIC... Just look at some of the CRAZY builds that AMS built using K1 cranks too!!!

If I was K1, I would refund your money and refuse to sell you product ever again. Some people just shouldn't mod their cars IMO...

You had your crank messed up and K1 is helping you by fixing it for FREE!

I will also talk with AMS and make sure they put together the parts that you need to prevent any problems in the future and will not charge you for this service.
K1 is also going to provide FREE technical support to assist you in your build - TIME IS MONEY!

You will be able to check all of the specifications of the crank, rods and bearings before you install it in your engine.
I can believe that someone needs to explain this to you - tells me that you have NO BUSINESS modding your EVO....

I will also ship you this crank and pay for the shipping charges."

I understand by what has been posted in this thread that you're a whinny penny pincher and should really be complaining to the person that MESSED UP YOUR CRANK TO BEGIN WITH...

Stop wasting your time here and start blaming your engine builder for not mic'ing and grinding your crank to spec before it was installed. It sounds like you ordered a bunch of parts and he just threw them together without measuring. You cannot build an engine with off the shelf parts. Everything must be adjusted before install by a COMPETENT machinist.

A good friend of mine is a K1 dealer, and he will be the first to tell you that while the cranks are fundamentally good, he would never run one out of the box. One always needs to check each and every journal for proper size and roundness.

This is true for any aftermarket crank. It seems all these things are banged out in China, given a quick cleanup on these shores, boxed and sent on their way.

The OP's builder screwed up the install, and K1 is covering the regrind plus taking the time to make sure AMS rebuilds it right?

Sounds like fantastic customer service regardless of the language.
