Filling the TC with fluid

Has anyone else experienced the fluid coming back out sooner than expected after starting to pump fluid into the fill hole of the TC? I know it only takes half a quart, but this seems to be a common issue. Just looking to hear peoples opinions.

Its best to pump/fill slowly. That should solve your issues.

Yea the oil definitely doesn't smell that great at all eww lol

The car was not level when I was filling it but I did pump it slowly until it started coming back out and lowered the car to let any excess drain out.

It just seems that it didn't take too much! Do you guys feel like the TC doesn't take as much as it says?

Yeah, it just feels like it is big enough to take way more fluid, but just make sure it is level, and give it ample time for the bubbles to settle and you will be fine.

Yes, I hate when I mess around with DiaQueen when doing fluid fills, my hands smell like **** even after I scrub them with Orange pumas soap.

What would happen if you fill it when it wasn't level, and what do you consider ample time?

If the car isn't level it could be over or under filled, depending on how your car is angled. Filling shouldn't take more than just a few minutes at the most.

You can also run the car around a little then come back and top the fluid off. It's very thick fluid and as it works it's way around in the tcase into the tight areas the level will go down a little from where it first starts to overflow.

Definitely do it while level. Also, make sure the tube that you're filling with is facing as downward into the fill hole as possible. If it angled up a bit some of the fluid will come back down the tube (gravity is a beeatch afterall) and make it seem like the reservoir is filled.

1. Make sure its level
2. If its still not filling up to spec, drive it around to work the air bubbles out then come back and check it, if not spilling out on level ground, fill till full.
