the hta82 spools like 200rpm slower then a 6262 but does not make the numbers a 6262 would. your already on a 2.3 so its kinda silly to not use the hta86 when the 6262 is in your thoughts.
ok, now that we have that covered. What's the spool difference between the hta86 and hta82?

oops. maybe i miss typed it. the spool diff from a hta82 to the hta86 is about 200rpm. my guess from hta82 to 6262 is around 400rpm. your comparing what you felt on a 2.0L motor though. not a 2.3 400rpm is big but on a 2.3 and the 86 turbo you will still spool faster then the hta82 on a 2.0

go with the hta86 like Dan is saying.. its an overall better turbo.. the 6262 is laggy because it has a large compressor wheel.

a hta86 on a .63 or .82??? if its a .63 vs .63 then yes but if its .82 vs .63 that i can not answer. my guess is if you do the HTA86 and its not Twin scroll then i would get the tial .82 housing in v band. that i am sure is better then PTE .63 a/r

I don't think anyones tested the 6262 with new turbine wheel vs any of these turbos mentioned, and thats how PTE is shipping every new unit...

even if performance was a draw, when was the last time you heard of a hta blowing up or being bad out of the box? there are a couple threads a week about defective precision turbos.

You mean you post a couple times a week in other peoples threads. We are all tired of your story. Clearly you arent a cust but there is no need to constantly bash the company. They arent a vendor or you would have been banned 17million times by now. Give it a rest. I have seen a few failure threads but compared to the # of turbos out there it is a very low #.

What are the chances of receiving a defective turbo brand new?

your right, i post in dead precision turbo threads when they pop up to let them know it isnt a fluke. as soon as they stop blowing up i wont have any threads to post in.
