Have HFC; want downpipe

I have a Perrin HFC so it's 3". I want to get a Downpipe.

Perrin is on sale for around $180 and made in USA

Cobb is on sale for around $145; not sure where it's made.

Both are 3".

Which has better fit and finish for an Evo IX? I don't want to deal with rubbing, tapping anywhere.

Should I just go with a Tanabe 2.75"? I don't plan on much as far as mods. I'm guessing the Tanabe will still bolt to the 3" Perrin HFC.

Thanks

Perrin's products fit very well and are overall very high quality.

Yeah, I saw that thread but a lot of the info is pre-ACD. Also, there is no mention of Cobb and not much info on Perrin. It has a good pic of the Tanabe DP but I already know that fits. I'm really trying to get more info on the fit for the Perrin and Cobb. I saw another DP thread that mentions using different hangers to prevent the Perrin from hitting on a reply to someone mentioning it "fit like a champ." That was two opposing results for the Perrin so I wanted to get more info from owners. Again, I have not seen much on the Cobb but that one is probably on the bottom of my list.

Perrin fits like a glove.
On my setup I did not need any spacers on the tie bars. It cleared everything and fit very nice.

It's on their website: cobbtuning.com

Looks good but not too sure about their quality as I haven't heard much other than some issues on the resonators of their exhaust.

Just found someone's experience with the dp: http://www.cobbforums.com/forums/sho...ouches-oil-pan

http://cobbtuning.com/products/?id=3429

Technical Specs:

- Full 3" system

- 304 Stainless Steel

- Fits under factory chassis bracing without the need for spacers.

Wow thats a steal!

I had their full turbo back before. The downpipe fits awesome 3" and well crafted. Its actuall price was around 245. So I suggest you get that.

The Tanabe downpipe is only 2.75 inches. So if your looking for full 3" I say get the cobb.

Just saw this. Just hope you know its 2.75" inlet and not 3" before you purchased it.

But good luck with the mod game.

Yeah, I'm fine with 2.75" I'm not going to do much to it and it was a good price used. As long as I'm going bigger than stock I'm satisfied.
