Awesome to see stockish frame turbos taking us so far. It's good to hear some real world results from a 2.4 especially from SBR, these guys have probably built more of these blocks than anyone else in the community.

I finally installed my black and I'm waiting for my 4 bar since my JDM has been maxed out.

 

is the 2.4 shortblock and race head needed to safely boost 30 psi on the fp black on the mr? I was on the road, but didn't want to do any engine building yet

a full built longblock is always the way to go. when you put un-needed stress on stock internals and double the power output anything can happen there is no garantee it will hold period.

 

What type of head gasket are you using in this build?

 

OEM 9 head gasket modified by AMS.

 

where is sbr located?? i plan on having a 2.4 built, do you recommend them?
