Well I have two choices. I can get a black now with 1000cc injectors and run it on low boost. Or maybe I can do cams, springs, head studs, exhaust manifold and then save some money, and get into the Black after that.

I've decided I'm doing cams and and an exhaust manifold before the turbo. Thanks to everyone who has helped me out. I'll get to that black eventually.

Good choice. By the time you get the turbo, the FP Blacks will be available in the Classified for $500 and everyone will be running the FP HyperBlack

No no that's going to be a while longer, it's still in the development stages at the FP space station.. apparently the part about spooling before the car is started takes a zero gravity environment to assemble

Dont buy the black till your ready to push it.

Get a twin disk, injectors, and a set of cams with a fresh tune. You will see more gains with them then you would by slapping a black with no supporting mods and low boost.

Been there, done that. Save it for when you are ready

Lol funny way this thread has turned. Can I run larger injectors on a stock turbo? Or do you suggest I install larger injectors same times as my FP CHROME? lol

no dude, FP Chrome will need at least 8550cc injectors to supply all that fuel to support the included the 55psi wastegate. don't forget the FullBlown quad fuel pump assembly lol

Make sure you do springs too if you can, if you plan on running the Black you'll need them... if you want to do it right you can do springs, cams and headstuds at the same time and save work down the road.

I was thinking to do the same to my newly acquired car, 2004 EVO8 RS, the car already has upgraded clutch, 3" vibrant exhaust system, seems the car have some kind of after market cams, it has a Greddy profec B controller, and an Apexi S-AFCII (wonder why) anyway, I guess with ECUflash proper tune, I wont be needing the Apexi not the Profec, the car also has a Walbro fuel pump and a set of AMS injectors. anyway I asked around about what should I upgrade first and I was recommended to do the GSC S2 with Beehive springs, I have been into an EVO 8 that just got a BBK Lite, car has cams+engine internals, a chinese replica performance intake manifold, running 28psi boost ECUflash tunned by me, raced an EVO7 with everything u can think off including a GT35r and a Motec M800, the EVO8 was like faster in the 400m race (1/4mile) by a street light pole, tried it 3 times and one with anti lag system on EVO7(bang bang) a 3rd time with rolling start, the EVO8 won everytime by the same distance, my 2cents would be, to buy the upgrades that u will enjoy most of the time while driving, not just at the drag strip. GSC S2, or Kelford 272 (was told its back ordered now) and a BBK full would be the way I would go, if I need more I would work on the head, port and polish, better intake manifold, bigger TB, better or ported exhaust manifold. good luck.

NAB

Here is a results thread created by AL with a similar but less modded car than yours with stock block and the power it was able to make still on stock clutch. I dont think you will be near these results with the route you selected. The turbo first is a great idea.
