100% stock bottom end. Neither the head nor the oil pan have ever been removed.

u should try e-breaking ur launch this time...It will save ur drivetrain for sure.

I'm with TTP, "what?" My drivetrain is in perfect condition after hundreds of launches, but thanks for the advice.


Quick update: I have an appointment set for tuning at TTP on April 6th. As long as all goes well and the motor holds I am scheduling to hit the track April 18th.

 

Load up the drivline with the e-brake like a staging brake.

Not recomending you do it, that's just what he meant.

 

That is meant for carbon clutches, not for cerametallic unsprung units.

 

I understand what he was saying, just not why it was even being brought up. I preload the drivetrain when I stage up. You do not have to use the Ebrake to preload. I have never damaged my drivetrain from launching,

 

Ryu, you said your heads never been off your block...you dont have aftermarket springs or retainers in your head?!

Or did you do the head-on-block spring/retainer job like the how to here on evom.

 

Headstuds were installed 1x1 method along with the springs and retainers.

 

How do you like TTP? I'm thinking about having my car tune there when I get my ported intake mani and TB back and then try for a 10 sec pass on pump only,stock block,

 

TTP always gives excellent service.

 

I am definitely making the trip to see this monster getting tuned!! I think Jerry wants to go too.
