Ryu's hunting for 9's on the Stock Block
I fail to see how he was genuinely trying to help me without even asking me any informative questions on data of my previous black setup. Had he done so he would not even be attempting to lecture me on iat's. With my black @38psi peak and an ambient temperature of 96degrees in the dyno bay my iat's reached a maximum of 110degrees PRE methanol injection. I don't have post methanol intake temperature data but a rough guess with touching the intercooler pipe pre meth to post meth it felt like it dropped about 15 to 20 degrees.
I have no objections to a technical discussion with educated criticism and input, but I have no interest in a one sided conversation with a condescending know it all.

We call him Ryumatic down here, few people in this area can even come remotely close to shifting as fast as this guy. I know some autos that don't shift that fast and would put $ on his shifting abilities. lol I tell him all the time good thing he has an evo instead of a dsm, he'd go broke replacing the amount of transmissions he'd break shifing like that.
while i know we all seem to like to bicker on here on little stuff here and there. sometimes we learn and sometimes we end up hating, err, disliking someone solely on there opinion.
i think that we should all take our own advice with a grain of salt so to speak. We all got different ideas on how to go fast, some of us(myself) choose the easier route and go with a big turbo. most likely to compensate for lacking in other areas
, and others will try the harder road less traveled(ryu).
I have seen that RT Ernie, while abrasive, he does know his poo. Ever talk with jon@tre? Dave Buschur, Emery @ STM, they wanna help you go fast without you trying some random poo and then spending more cash to follow there advice.
I have also seen that while his choice of shops isnt liked by most Ryuevoix also seems to know his poo for the most part, else his car would not have gone the times it did. Power alone dont get you fast. Not a gig on you but draven got you on the quickest FP Red part, flat 10s all day long last time he took it to the track. before we start this debate, what you consider a street car and what he does differ quite a bit, but its still registered and drives around every day. minus snow days up here....
but i digress, in the end like i said i hope ryu crushes his 9 sec pass. i know ive been looking for mine and its a elussive beast. do i disagree with his ideas? yup, but if we all followed the same path it would be pretty boring. and if we didnt have abrasive people such as myself and RT Ernie, the world would be a little bland i think. anyway, rant over, continue the drama

Do I feel the route I have chosen is the best way for drag racing? No I do not, but I do feel it is an excellent combination for the direction I am looking to take my car. After it's all said and done, my final goal with this car on the drag strip will be a 9.7 and 144mph trap speeds with a built motor. Then I can move on to my next Mitsu project that is sitting on the back burner, my driveway, until the Evo is done. Now THAT will be an all purpose drag setup.

I'll check back in when there is some pertinent info with results.
Seems like some FL state in-fighting that us non locals wouldn't have a clue about.
Good luck Ryu. Love to see you meet/exceed your goal.
