I'm in the same boat, having trouble gutting my car, I have small brakes, only so I can run the 15" tire/wheel combination I wanted. It still stops fine for a daily driver but it would be awful for road course lol. I kept the brembos, easy enough to swap out. still rocking the stock wing and everything else. It's just too nice to strip down but I know it's severely limiting my ability to run with the serious guys.

What brakes do you have on the car?

Ryu, you will LOVE that turbo.

I know exactly what you mean. I have a normal Joe schmo budget at the moment and these cars are too nice for me to gut for race car status. Fortunately I found a VERY affordable deal on an Evo 8 that will make an excellent drag car candidate which will be a project aimed at keeping up with some of the big boys.

If I may answer that question for Mellon. Last time I checked he was running a small front brake kit that English Racing sells on their website.

I hope I love this turbo as much as everyone has said. I think I will.

hard to say, at 140, I definitely wasn't attempting to make the first turn off. Then I again I didn't do that with the brembos either. I coasted down to the second turnoff at memphis motorsports. No need in wearing them out when I can do that. If you're going to a track that has a short shutdown area it might be a challenge like at my local 1/8th mile track.

Fair enough. Any chance you did a rotational weight comparison with these vs the stock setup?

I think I did but can't remember the total difference right off hand. It's probably in my build thread somewhere.

I know the 15" wheels/tires/rotors are considerably lighter and the taller tires helped with traction over the previous 17" BFG considerably too. What this all equates to in the real world, I'm not sure.

Of course your at liberty to discuss , this is a forum for information .. Why is it if things dont go right you never post up your results . Not that easy to just throw a part on it , is it . I heard it Blew up .. But i would like to hear the story from the horses mouth ..
Also , How much weight reduction is done to your car ? ... taking off front and rear sway bars ,crash bars in doors , ect ..
Just wondering if it is a true street car or a tin can in disguise ...

Did you get to see the ,

Mellon, the 15" rims fit over the stock rear brakes?

I'm actually not at liberty to discuss per agreement with Forced Performance, not my independent choice of withholding information. My car is in perfect working order, so I would appreciate if you stopped being a douchebag on multiple forums attempting to make false rumors about my car.

The car does not have that much weight reduction contrary to your multiple forum campaign of hate and slanderous misinformation your are attempting to spread about my setup. My race weight is 3100lbs with me in the car, FAR from anything that can ever resemble a "tin can" as you are trying to state.

I'm sorry you have such horrible results 10.5@137mph with an all out 6765 setup, but just because others know how to setup their car better and are able to attain better results on a much lesser setup does not mean that there is any lies or deception going on. One day you'll learn.

Yes I saw the thread you posted. I was one of the first to congratulate STM on a job well done. There car is a 26xxlb full prepped race car. It amuses me every time you attempt to compare mine to theirs in an attempt to discredit my notable achievements I have made thus far with my Red setup on my Daily Driver.

David Buschur put together a Red setup in a true daily drive as well, "Project White". That car went a best of 10.35@138mph on a fully built 2.3L setup. So since you think my Red setup was lacking how do you feel about Mr. Buschur's setup? Would you like to attempt to insult him and his Red setup as well?
