Draven from STM went 9s on Friday evening and I went 9s saturday morning. They beat me to it by a couple of hours. I've held the record since then.

I agree. Unfortunately I can't possibly get things together any quicker then I already am. Everything is on order, just waiting for all the parts to get here.
My family has also had quite a few hardships this year as I posted previously in this thread. Took a bit of time and focus off of this project for a portion of the year.

not trying to be a negative nancy but I think that block will be on its last leg soon with low ten high nine runs, but I give you mad props for having the guts to push it that hard!! awesome awesome times
Quick update:
Finally starting to see some of the parts I've paid for. I've had the turbo for a couple of weeks now. Today my tial .63 exhaust housing and tial 38mm MVS wastegate came in today. I was also told today the rest of my parts would ship from ETS on Monday. Almost there.

So.....what is the point of all this now? at the begining I thought it's beacuse you wanted to be first.....not trying to rain on your parade....but why don't you just build that bottom end? or are you chasing the stock block E.T record?..I'm curious
At the beginning it was a fun idea to try and be the first to accomplish it. The underlying point of this thread though was to complete another personal goal I have set for my car.

It could also be to have fun! You know since none of us compete professionally that SHOULD be the underlying reason we all do this!
People are too serious these days. Just because someone's in the top 3 or top 5 instead of 1st place doesn't make it a worthless effort. I'd take top 3 any day over giving up and being a quitter.
