I'm 100% fed up with my car !!!!!!
I just picked up a new odyssey pc680 battery have it sitting in the trunk of my other car , I will put in on the evo when I get home like in 5 hours . I will post the results to see how it goes.
I think you should not mod your car at all, or if you've started already, put it back to stock. There will be many more things going wrong that will cause you to have a stroke if something this easy makes you 100% fed up.
Speaking of red tops, my Eclipse eats them up, I think I'm going to go back to the stock battery. I hope the day never comes when I HAVE to use something else besides at least a stock sized battery in my Evo. I'm not so sure Optimas are as good as they say anymore.

Streetevo you are right about needing a good battery to troubleshoot charging system but if he can't jump it off another running healthy car, why would you assume a new battery will help him... It wont... I still say the problem is at the starter.
Few years back my supra had this issue. Had a odyssey small batt, blamed it for this same starting issue. Turns out the ground to the starter didn't have good contact. Cleaned it, sanded the crap off, problem solved! Didn't waste my money on new battery

The battery is shot i bet 100%. Clicking sound indicates other electrical components are getting funky volt readings. you cant really put these tiny **** batteries through much or they take a **** quick on you.
I just got installed my brand new odyssey pc680 and the car wont start I still get that clicking sound . I went to Pepboys and bought another battery a regular big battery and installed it in the car and I still get the clicking sound. Is there any way to check if the starter is fried up?
Have you had any issues with car besides the battery going dead lately? Have you tried to spin the engine over by hand, i.e. with a ratchet/breaker bar? Do that just to make sure the engine isn't locked up at all.
Yes there is a way to check the starter, but you need it out of the car. Take one of your batteries, hook a set jumper cables to it, and the other end to the starter(negative to the starter housing, positive to the lead where the positive cable bolts to it).
