02 Dumps ?

Ok, ive read through way more BS than one person should have too in one day . Im looking into a 02 dump for my stocker. Ive read every post all most and cant seem to find any dyno results other than one from map and one from emp( i think, cant remeber). Anyhoo, i was looking at the QTP because of costs compaired to others. I read a post by DB and others and its a mixed bag about how well these work. Im not so concerned about fitment because im not so scared to get in thier and modify a little if need be. Im interested in power gains from these. Im going SD and wanted to add a open dump to help hold more boost and hopefully get a little more top end. Question is, are any of them really worth it? Is the QTP worth the 220.00 bucks?

qtp's design is on the lower end of the quality spectrum. Shearer(spelling?) released a dyno with a gain of about 20? I personally have the epm installed and didn't notice too big of a difference but then again I didn't notice a difference when installing the ix turbo nor 272 cams.

i don't think u'll see much gains in terms of hp....i have the red and it helped tremendously with the creep...and not to mention it sounds bad ***...i dont see it doin much good with the stocker unless u just want the noise

I have one, I picked up a little more then 10WHP across the board. The best is boost not falling off as much. I have the Evo Power Mods unit, check it out.

Here is 1 that we had a chance to do back to back dyno testing with..

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ve...-released.html

I have done more than 1 where we did back to back track testing and picked up a few MPH and dropped a couple tenths.. They work best on cars that will see a decent amount of boost like an E85 car.. We have run them on Most wanteds Stock turbo record setter and FP Red.. When on kill mode they make great HP..

Shearer and JMFab are the only two you should look at. MAP makes a nice o2 housing eliminator with open dump which is kinda cool as well. Full 3" which is a plus.

There is no concrete data on whether these actually work or not. If however you are going to buy one, get the Shearer unit. Based on the design, all others appear as if they will create a significant amount of turbulence.

I have the 1st prototype shearer on my car, it has been nothing but great on my car. The quality is second to none.

Im not sure what other date you are looking for.. we have dyno charts before and after and we also have track results.. Our stock turbo car was beating on 11.1 pass after pass after pass.. We couldnt get it in the 10's.. The dump was released and we bolted only the dump to the car, retuned and pulled out a 10.9.. Its clear in the logs that it spools better and hold more boost on top.. I dont know how else to prove it works.. Like i said results will definitely vary.. cars on kill mode will 100% see the most gains..
