Question on clutch engagement point (Evo 9 + ACT)
Okay, first off, Just a heads up, I'm short, im like 5'0.
I noticed after driving the EVO X and the MS3 that they both engage from the top but I noticed my EVO engages from the bottom.
Now im thinking if it engaged more from the top it could help driveability wise (more clutch control) b/c I have difficulty hitting it to the floor. When ur hitting high RPMs (eg: 1st gear) if you dont engage the pedal to the floor u can mis-shift sometimes.
Im wondering
a) how hard is it to adjust
b) is it recommended cause I thought I heard back in the day altering the engagement point can kill the life of your clutch (wear it down quicker, could be false though)
Another Idea I was gonna do is goto a shop and get my recaro seat altered for more padding.
Creative peeps and Mechanical peeps input welcome... please no short jokes lol

Adjusting the clutch pedal will not kill the clutch. Some people prefer it set up differently. If you adjust it too high up then the pedal could hit the stop at the top of it's travel without fully disengaging the clutch. This could cause it to slip.
If you want the pedal a little closer try this. Recline the driver seat all the way back. Tilt the wheel all the way up. Lay in the driver seat upside down with your head where your feet would go. You'll need a light and a few wrenches. There's a switch/stop that the clutch pedal hits at the top of it's travel. Loosen the lock nut on it and turn it out a few turns. This will allow you pedal to travel a little higher up. Too many turns on the switch and you'll want to disconnect the wires and take the twists out.
Follow the directions for adjusting the clutch. You'll want to lengthen the rod attached to the pedal. This will raise the engagement point. Don't go too far. Adjust it a little then take a test drive.
There used to be a video from Jack's Transmissions on youtube describing the clutch adjustment procedure. I think he said if you adjust the rod out too far you prevent the slave cylinder from self adjusting as the clutch wears by closing some kind of passage inside clutch main hydraulic cylinder at the pedal.
I found it.
