I have done a search and i want more info. Which do you think is better and why? DO i have to purchase additional sensors to make any of them work? Or can i purchase additional sensors to make it better? Whats the difference in the smc and sm2 model for the autronic.

Some of the rally guys are using the autronic. You do not have to purchase additional sensors 'cept for the wide band O2 sensor depending on the vendor. I like the autronic because it's very similar to the MoTeC stand-alone systems. In fact, rumor has it that the guy that started Autronic was a former MoTeC engineer. Chris Chow

Go with Autronics they have the US Evo plug and play. The way it works is you plug it in have a lap top hooked up drive around with different loads to the car, Get a base A/F and from there fine tune. You do need a Bosch O2 wide band sensor hooked up to get the data in initially and everytime you do a mod. It does have a self learning capability but you need to get it tuned right the first time. Do not do this alone unless you really understand tuning you can do alot of damage. Also going to a Autronics you switch from MAF to MAP which is great for going with big turbos etc... there is wiring involved. Best advice do a search on the Autronics site and find a distributer closest to you and get a tuner that knows these and pay the money to do it right. It is far to important to try and learn yourself on the Evo unless you are ready to pay for very expensive mistakes. The best part of going Autronics is you will be wide open for whatever modes stroker kits turbos injectors. It is the way to go but it does carry a price. I was also looking at getting into one myself but there is alot to think about before swithing.
